In an interview with the Rolling Stone for their third year of performing a residency at the Ryman Auditorium, Jason Isbell has shared why he and his backing band, the 400 Unit, favor the well-known venue for their shows. He shares, “There’s no rock-star b***s*** at the Ryman… There’s no barricade, there’s no security between me and the people listening to me.” It seems like this quality of the venue and the continuous support from their growing fanbase has inspired the widely acclaimed singer-songwriter to continue their Ryman residency 12 years later, and they’re more than ready to conquer October with concerts that their fans will remember forever!
Respected as one of the most significant artists in the alternative and Americana music scenes, Taste of Country has recognized Jason Isbell for establishing “the modern-day template for an Americana star with major mainstream country appeal”. He is often considered the blueprint for major country stars like Zach Bryan and Tyler Childers and has been honored with six Grammy Awards out of 12 nominations. For the past two and a half decades, he has successfully produced the most well-written songs while leading his performances with the 400 Unit. Today, Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit are considered a stellar reflection of Southern music and identity. As they continue touring, fans are beyond excited to find out how they will make this residency even better than their previous ones.
With the massive success of her fourth studio album, Runaway’s Diary, singer and songwriter Amy LaVere has received universal acclaim from critics. Her tracks were even praised by The Guardian for how her “longstanding penchant for storytelling songs is given free rein”.
It’s going to be a fantastic show for Americana and country music fans here at the Ryman Auditorium on Friday, 23rd October 2026! This famous music landmark has staged the shows of the industry’s biggest stars, from Dolly Parton to Taylor Swift and Harry Styles. On this date, it’s your turn to hear the music of Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit live through the clearest quality of acoustics, most excellent sightlines, and upgraded amenities that will guarantee everyone in the audience a brilliant show from start to finish. Known for its limited capacity of accommodating up to 2,362 people only at every show, it’s understandable why this show’s limited audience number and high demand for the band’s live performances have resulted in their shows becoming sold out quickly.
